The College of Basic Education Organizes a Specialized Scientific Seminar on the Importance of the Sustainable Development Goals.
The Faculty of Basic Education, Department of Mathematics, in cooperation with the Division of Continuing Education, organized a specialized scientific seminar entitled “The Importance of the Sustainable Development Goals” with the participation of a number of teachers and students.
The seminar, which was attended by Prof. Dr. Hamid Kazim Dawood and Mr. Doaa Riad Abdul
To meet the needs of the present without negatively affecting the ability of future generations to meet their own needs by achieving a balance between economic growth, environmental protection and the promotion of social justice.
The seminar included a discussion of several axes, the first axis included the definition of sustainable development, the second axis included the pillars of sustainable development and the third axis discussed the knowledge of sustainable development goals.
The seminar recommended the need to pay attention to the topic of sustainable development to achieve a healthier society, a clean environment and a strong economy by rethinking production and consumption methods and redirecting them towards solutions aimed at preserving resources for future generations.
