
A Seminar about the Poor Basic Education Outcomes in Iraq, Causes and Consequence
The Department of Geography at the Faculty of Basic Education, University of Diyala, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Division, organized a specialized seminar entitled (( Poor Basic Education Outcomes in Iraq, Causes and Consequences )) The seminar was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Kasma Najm Abdullah, who teaches in the Department of Geography, in the presence of a number of faculty members and students, and included the following topics
1- Addressing the underlying causes of poor educational outcomes, the most important of which are the infrastructure of schools, as well as insufficient time for the study material amid the pressure of increasing the number of students during one lesson for the teacher.
The seminar aimed to shed light on the reasons that fall within the poor outcomes of basic education and try to identify the determinants of the learning process, because education has a clear impact on the renaissance of any society and the development of its individual and collective skills and contribute to supporting the productivity of the individual and thus the society and increasing the empowerment of individuals and the multiplicity of their choices, the development of the community’s giving and clarity of its goals and its ability to overcome the difficulties and challenges it faces through what learning provides, and its ability to achieve these various goals in various aspects of life, economic, social and cultural aspects.
