Department of Geography held a typically lecture about geographic information (GIS) for the 3rd stage students  in the laboratory of geo-technologies by Dr. Ammar Hussein , the lecture included a tow side , theory and practical application to treatment  the visible digital elevations model known as (DEM) and how to deal with it in Arc Map programs and operations specific to the ground surface analysis and the conclusions that can be extract through digital analysis to support decision-making processes of the planners.
