In a new scientific achievement … Diyala University obtains (16) local sequence out of (74) Iraqi universities in the SCIMAGO 2025 classification and (9) sequence among governmental universities within the Scopus repositories
The University of Diyala has achieved a new scientific and research achievement in international classifications, by obtaining the 16th local sequence out of 74 Iraqi universities in the SCIMAGO 2025 classification and the 9th sequence among governmental universities, within the Scopus citations.
For his part, the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Tahsin Hussein Mubarak, praised the progress achieved in this field compared to previous years, praising the efforts of researchers from the university cadres in reaching this scientific achievement, and stressing the university’s continued support for scientific research and its keenness to enhance its scientific standing at the international level.
His Excellency added that this achievement reflects the university’s commitment to scientific excellence and support for academic research, pointing out that this classification indicated the strength of our university’s research within the first quarter of the sober publication, congratulating our professors and researchers for this distinguished scientific progress.
It is worth mentioning that this ranking was mainly based on three axes, most notably research performance in terms of the number and quality of published research, in addition to the societal impact through the university’s role in community service, as well as the criterion of creativity and innovation
