
A professor from Diyala opens up international horizons in scientific research by supervising a doctoral student at the University of Tabriz
Within the framework of joint scientific cooperation and in implementation of the cooperation agreement between the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministry of Higher Education in the Islamic Republic of Iran, and in continuation of the steps taken by the Faculty of Basic Education to exchange scientific experiences at the international level, Professor Dr. Jaafar Hassan Jassim, a lecturer in the Department of Computers at the Faculty of Basic Education at Diyala University, to provide scientific supervision to PhD student Ali Abdulhadi Mohammed at Tabriz University in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Dr. Jaafar Hassan Jassim was chosen because of his distinguished scientific expertise in his field of specialisation and his academic and research experience, which qualifies him to provide scientific support and supervision to the student, thereby enhancing the quality of scientific research and contributing to the development of research capabilities at the international level.
The Dean of the Faculty of Basic Education, Assistant Professor Dr. Ayman Abdul Aoun, praised this scientific achievement, emphasising that the teaching assignment to supervise a doctoral student at an international university reflects the faculty’s distinguished academic reputation and enhances its role in the exchange of scientific knowledge and expertise at the international level.
This achievement is in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4, which aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all, through supporting academic cooperation and the exchange of international scientific expertise.
