Master’s thesis in Diyala Basic discusses the impact of the PQRST strategy on the achievement of fourth grade students in literary texts
The Faculty of Basic Education at the University of Diyala discussed a master’s thesis entitled (The impact of the PQRST strategy on the achievement of fourth grade students in literary texts) In the specialization of Arabic language teaching methods
The study presented by the student (Sara Mohsen Ali) aimed to find out the impact of the PQRST strategy on the achievement of literary texts by the students of the preparatory stage, and this is done through the following null hypothesis:
The study found that there was a statistically significant difference between the experimental and control groups in the achievement test, and the difference was in favor of the experimental group.
The study recommended the necessity of adopting the PQRST strategy in teaching the subject of literary texts, as it proved its great effectiveness in raising the level of academic achievement of fourth grade female students, and motivating Arabic language teachers to adopt modern methods and strategies, especially the PQRST strategy, which proved its high efficiency in improving the understanding and thinking of middle school students, as well as moving away from traditional methods in teaching the subject of literary texts as much as possible, and benefiting from the results of the current study.
The study suggested conducting a study similar to the current study in another area of the Arabic language, such as reading and dictation, and conducting a study similar to the current study to explore the impact of PQRST on other dependent variables such as thinking and intelligence, as well as conducting a study on other school stages in order to know the impact of PQRST on academic achievement
