
A workshop entitled (Hijab between the lexicon and the Holy Quran “A reading of the concept and its manifestations in the societal reality”).
The Faculty of Basic Education at the University of Diyala organizes a workshop entitled (Hijab between the lexicon and the Holy Quran “A reading of the concept and its manifestations in the societal reality”).
Within the activities of International Women’s Day and in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan, the Department of Arabic Language at the Faculty of Basic Education, in cooperation with the Guidance Unit at Diyala University, organized a workshop entitled (Hijab between the dictionary and the Holy Quran “A reading of the concept and its manifestations in the societal reality”) with the participation of a number of female teachers and female students.
The workshop, in which Dr. Dr. Wafa Masoud Aziz aimed at defining hijab in language and terminology, as well as mentioning the Qur’anic verses that include this word, and the verses in which hijab is imposed, as well as the conditions of the legitimate hijab, and what matters must be taken into account in the hijab to preserve society.
The first axis aimed at defining hijab in language and terminology, the second axis dealt with the verses that included the word hijab or its concept, the third axis dealt with the philosophy and objectives of hijab, and the fourth axis presented the reasons for the prohibition against makeup and its disastrous consequences.
The workshop recommended the need to look at clothing and follow the conditions that must be met in the Islamic hijab, as well as warning against blind imitation of the West, and the need to combine modest clothing with faithful behavior in word and deed
