Diyala Basic Education College distributes financial grants to students to support low-income families With the support of the Iraqi government and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research
On Thursday, July 24, 2025, the Faculty of Basic Education at Diyala University distributed financial grants to its students, in a move that reflects the Iraqi government’s ongoing commitment to supporting low-income students. and embodying the active role played by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, represented by its minister, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, in providing a fair and inclusive educational environment.
The scholarship was distributed in the presence of the college dean, represented by the dean and his assistants, and a number of faculty members, amid widespread praise from students and parents for this initiative, which contributes to alleviating the economic burden on families with limited resources.
In this context, His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, praised this initiative, affirming that it “embodies the state’s commitment to caring for students from low-income groups and is an example of the integration of efforts between educational institutions and government agencies to achieve social justice in education.”
His Excellency added: “The Ministry of Higher Education attaches great importance to ensuring that students can continue their studies without financial burdens hindering them, and we will continue to work with universities and colleges to launch similar initiatives in various governorates.”
