
Dean of Basic Education in Diyala renews academic communication
A motivating meeting for creativity and excellence brings together the college leadership and professors from the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, honoring those who excel
As part of ongoing academic communication and the Dean of the Faculty of Basic Education at the University of Diyala’s keenness to advance the scientific and educational process, the Dean of the Faculty, Assistant Professor Dr. Ayman Abdul Aoun, held an extensive meeting with members of the teaching staff of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, as part of a series of regular meetings organized by the Dean’s Office with the scientific departments of the college.
The Dean began the meeting with a welcoming speech in which he expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the teaching staff, praising their scientific, research, and educational contributions, He also made a number of recommendations for the start of the new academic year, focusing on the importance of academic discipline, activating scientific supervision, and developing teaching methods in line with recent developments in university education.
The head of the department, Assistant Professor Dr. Nasir Hamid Karim, also gave a speech in which he reviewed the department’s most notable achievements and future plans, emphasizing the faculty’s keenness to establish the principles of teamwork and promote sports and scientific activities that contribute to building students’ physical and intellectual well-rounded personalities.
During the meeting, the dean honored a number of distinguished professors in the department for their scientific, research, and sports activities, in recognition of their efforts and effective contributions to the college’s academic achievements, which reflect the spirit of creativity and belonging to the university.
The meeting concluded with an emphasis on the importance of continuing this type of meeting, which contributes to establishing an academic environment that encourages excellence and innovation and promotes constructive communication between the college dean and its scientific departments.
This meeting is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), by supporting quality university education and encouraging sports and health activities that contribute to building a balanced and creative university community capable of achieving comprehensive development.
