Dr. Laith Participates in an MA Thesis Discussion
Scientific contribution by one of the professors at the Faculty of Media at the University of Baghdad
Assistant Professor Dr. Laith Abdul Sattar Ayada, who teaches at the Faculty of Basic Education at the University of Diyala, discussed his master’s thesis entitled “The attitudes of the people of Baghdad towards the projects of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities – traffic congestion relief projects as an example” by student Zohour Hassan Hilal from the College of Media at the University of Baghdad
The study aimed to identify the attitudes of the Baghdad public towards the projects of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities, monitor the prevailing trend among them, and reveal the sources on which the Baghdad public relies in forming their attitudes.
The study found that projects to ease traffic congestion contributed to a relative improvement in traffic flow in some areas of the capital Baghdad, but public opinion remains divided on the efficiency of implementation and the fairness of the geographical distribution of projects.
The study recommended the need to strengthen direct media communication with the public and activate awareness campaigns that explain the details and benefits of the projects, thereby contributing to raising the level of trust and community acceptance of the ministry’s policies.
The discussion committee consisted of the following professors: Prof. Haider Ahmed Al-Qutbi, chair, and members Prof. Laith Abdul-Sattar Ayada, Prof. Zina Abdul-Khalik Abdul-Rahman, and Prof. Sharif Saeed Hamid.
