the percentage of research that falls within the top 10% in terms of citations globally, the standard citation rate (MNCS), indicators of international research collaboration,
as well as an analysis of the quantity and type of scientific output of university institutions.
On this occasion, the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Tahseen Hussein Mubarak, expressed his pride in this scientific achievement, saying: The inclusion of Diyala University in the Leiden global ranking confirms the prestigious research status that the university has achieved at the national and international levels. This achievement reflects the university’s commitment to the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to support innovation and expand the horizons of international research cooperation.
It embodies the fourth Sustainable Development Goal (quality education) by enhancing the quality of higher education and scientific research, and contributes to the achievement of the ninth goal (industry, innovation, and infrastructure) by investing in knowledge and scientific research as a lever for sustainable development in Iraq.
