The Faculty of Basic Education at the University of Diyala discussed a master’s thesis entitled (The impact of the peer assessment strategy on the achievement of science for fifth grade primary students and their scientific thinking skills) In the specialization of science teaching methods
The study presented by the student (Haider Ali Hassan) aimed to identify the impact of the peer assessment strategy on the achievement of science for fifth grade primary school students and their scientific thinking skills
The study reached a number of conclusions, the most prominent of which are: Peer assessment strategy has a positive impact on increasing the achievement of the experimental group students in science and raising the level of scientific thinking skills compared to the control group students.
The study recommended the Directorates of Education to adopt teachers in teaching science, and to pay attention to holding training courses and training programs for science teachers in order to provide them with modern strategies in general and the peer assessment strategy in particular to benefit from them in raising the level of achievement of students.
The study suggested conducting a study on the impact of the peer evaluation strategy on the achievement and scientific thinking skills of middle school students
