
Mr. Dean leads a new start for the Student Activities Unit…
Mr. dean emphasizes the promotion of broader community partnerships and a comprehensive development vision
As part of the college’s efforts to strengthen its role in serving the community and consolidating effective university values, the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Ayman Abdul Aoun, held an expanded meeting with the Student Activities Unit, in the presence of the unit’s director, Assistant Professor Dr. Mustafa Mahdi, and a number of faculty members, to discuss mechanisms for activating various student activities and expanding community participation with government institutions and civil society organizations.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Dean emphasized the importance of the role played by the Student Activities Unit in building the integrated personality of university students by developing their abilities and honing their skills in various fields, in addition to its pivotal role in conveying the college’s message to the outside community.
The Dean also praised the efforts made by the unit during the past academic year, appreciating the quality activities that were implemented, which reflected a positive image of the college and demonstrated a high level of positive interaction with community issues.
The meeting discussed the unit’s annual plan for the current academic year (2025-2026), which includes a range of cultural, artistic, sports, and volunteer activities, in addition to community awareness campaigns and cooperation programs with civil society organizations, thereby enhancing the college’s presence in its community.
The Dean affirmed the college’s full support for these activities, stressing the importance of coordination with official and civil authorities to achieve true integration between the academic institution and the community, in line with national development goals.
At the end of the meeting, the Dean reiterated his support for the Student Activities Unit’s initiatives, noting that these efforts are in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by the United Nations, particularly Goal 4: “Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all,” and Goal 17, “Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development,” based on the college’s deep belief in its leading role in achieving sustainable development through education and community partnership.
