The Dean of Diyala University opens the sessions of the third scientific conference for postgraduate students He emphasizes the importance of experience in the development of scientific research
Within the steps of the university presidency in achieving the goals of sustainable development to raise the level of community awareness in this regard and under the generous patronage of Prof. Dr. Tahsin Hussein Mubarak, President of Diyala University, and under the chairmanship of Assistant Professor Dr. Ayman Abdul Awn Nazzal, Dean of the Faculty of Basic Education, the Faculty of Basic Education held its third scientific conference for postgraduate students on Tuesday morning, June 3, 2025, under the theme (challenges of scientific research reality in teaching methods in light of sustainable development) with wide participation from professors and graduate students and the presence of a number of gentlemen
The conference began with the reading of verses from the Holy Quran, the reading of Surat Al-Fatiha in memory of the martyrs of Iraq and the playing of the national anthem, then the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Dr. Haider Abdulbagi Abbas, delivered a speech in which he stressed the college’s tireless pursuit of progress and perseverance, urging its staff to practical research and trying to provide what its researchers need, and highlighted one of the most important axes of sustainable development, which is scientific research in teaching methods, because of its central role in developing the educational system and building a knowledgeable society capable of facing the challenges of the present and creating the future. He pointed out that scientific research is not an academic luxury, but is the cornerstone of educational reform and the progress of nations. When we link this research to the Sustainable Development Goals, we put it in its proper context: The context of positive change, institutional work, and comprehensive human development.
