
Mr. University President Participates in the First National Conference
The University President Participates in the First National Conference to Implement the Iraqi National Security Strategy (Iraq First) 2025–2030
As part of strengthening the partnership between educational and security institutions, the President of Diyala University, Prof. Dr. Tahseen Hussein Mubarak, participated today, Monday, August 4, 2025, in the First National Conference to activate the requirements for implementing the Iraqi National Security Strategy (Iraq First) 2025–2030, which was held at the Al-Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies in Baghdad.
During the conference, the university president emphasized that the national strategy represents a roadmap for building an integrated security, economic, and social system, noting that its objectives are to develop the capabilities of the security and defense systems to ensure internal and external security, as well as to achieve sustainable economic development, strengthen community security, and protect diversity and peaceful coexistence in Iraq.
He explained that Diyala University has adopted the strategy’s slogan, “Iraq First,” in all official communications and is working to establish its concepts in the university environment, noting that the university has printed 1,000 copies of the National Security Strategy Guide and distributed them to students, government departments, ministries, and national security advisory offices This is in support of spreading national awareness and establishing the values of good citizenship, justice, and equality. He called on all Diyala University formations to contribute to spreading the concepts of the strategy and introducing students and affiliates to its vision and mission of building a secure and stable Iraq.
It is worth noting that Diyala University was one of the first educational institutions to organize the first introductory lecture on the National Security Strategy (Iraq First) for the years 2025-2030, delivered by Dr. Ali Abdul Aziz Al, Security Policy Advisor at the National Security Advisory Office.
