The College Council Takes Place

The Basic Education Council of Diyala holds its thirteenth meeting and emphasizes active participation in the Iraqi Science Day Awards
The Basic Education Council of the University of Diyala held its regular meeting on Sunday morning, 10/8/2025, chaired by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Ayman Abdul Aoun, and attended by members of the College Council to discuss a number of issues on the agenda related to the educational and administrative process, and a set of decisions were taken in accordance with the regulations, instructions, and powers granted.
The meeting began with a welcome speech by the Dean, in which he praised the academic and administrative efforts made to ensure the success of the college’s programs. The Dean of the College and his esteemed Council expressed their sincere thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, for his support and care for academic institutions, praising His Excellency’s initiative in honoring the University of Diyala for its outstanding achievements in the fields of science and research.
The council then discussed a number of important topics on the agenda, emphasizing: The importance of active participation in “Science Day” and contributing to raising the profile of the college through the distinguished scientific and academic achievements of faculty members. Encouraging teachers to publish internationally in reputable scientific journals listed in Scopus and Clarivate. the creation of an appropriate environment to support this approach in order to enhance the college’s ranking and academic standing, the formation of a special committee to follow up on preparations and participation in Science Day and scientific publishing, to include representatives from the scientific departments to follow up on implementation and submit periodic reports, as well as emphasizing the need to adhere to the approved institutional academic program.
