
The Computer Department Ignites competition
The Computer Science Department at Diyala University ignites competition and embodies student creativity in a scientific and cultural competition between the second and third stages
The Faculty of Basic Education – The Cultural Committee of the Computer Science Department, in cooperation with the Sports Activities Unit and Continuing Education, and in coordination with the Media and Government Communications Division, organized a scientific and cultural competition between second and third stage students, in the presence of a number of faculty members and students of the department, in an atmosphere of positive interaction and constructive scientific competition.
The competition organizing committee consisted of: A.M. Ban Jawad Kazem and M. Zainab Qahtan Muhammad, while the scientific aspects of the competition were supervised by a committee consisting of A.M.D. Shaima Taha Ahmad and M.M. Suzan Abdul Sattar Hussein. The competition included a set of diverse scientific, cultural, and religious questions aimed at motivating students to broaden their knowledge horizons and enhance critical thinking and scientific research.
At the end of the competition, the third stage won over the second stage after an outstanding performance that reflected the high scientific and cultural level of the students.
The Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Ayman Abdul Aoun, praised this initiative, which embodies the spirit of creativity and perseverance among students, stressing that such activities contribute to building the integrated personality of university students and enhance the spirit of cooperation and institutional belonging.
This competition is part of the Computer Science Department’s efforts to develop students’ intellectual and scientific skills, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: “Quality Education,” which emphasizes the importance of providing a stimulating educational environment that supports creativity and develops lifelong learning skills among university students.
