The Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman Nasser Rashid, held a meeting with faculty members at the college to discuss preparations for the scientific conference on extremism that will be held on April 29, 2025. The meeting included discussing the logistical and organizational preparations for the conference, inviting researchers and specialists to participate in the conference.
The Dean added that the importance of the conference is to address the phenomenon of extremism that poses a threat to society and to exchange experiences and ideas between researchers and specialists in the field of combating extremism.
The aim of the conference is to reject extremism because of its importance in achieving peace and stability in societies, promoting tolerance and coexistence: Encouraging the acceptance of the different other and promoting the values of tolerance and peaceful coexistence between different groups of society, maintaining security and stability, and creating a safe and stable environment for all.
Prof. Dr. Haider Abdul Baqi, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and member of the preparatory committee for the conference, confirmed that the conference will be held under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Abdul Yasser Al-Aboudi, in cooperation with Mesopotamian University, the College of Basic Education, the College of Education for Human Sciences, the College of Education Al-Miqdad, Yarmouk College, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Division, the Popular Mobilization Authority and the General Directorate of Education.
