An academic visit by professors from Diyala Basic Education College takes students to the heart of the educational experience
As part of the applied scientific plan of the Arabic Language Department at the College of Basic Education at the University of Diyala, and in order to link theory with practical experience in the field of education, a group of faculty professors conducted a field visit to Al-Nahrain Elementary School for Girls in Diyala Governorate, as part of the requirements of the observation course for fourth-year students in the morning program.

  The professors were accompanied by a group of fourth-year students from the Arabic Language Department, with the aim of gaining first-hand knowledge of the educational reality in schools and applying classroom observation skills in accordance with modern academic contexts.
  For its part, the administration of Al-Nahrain Elementary School for Girls expressed its great appreciation for this meaningful academic initiative, praising the positive interaction of the students and the remarkable keenness of the supervising professors to guide them and help them understand the real educational work environment. The administration also valued the college’s active role in developing the educational process by enhancing the practical aspect of teacher training programs.
  On the other hand, this visit provided students with the opportunity to learn about classroom management techniques, educational interaction, and the challenges teachers face in the classroom, as well as to observe the educational relationship between teachers and students, which contributes to refining students’ educational and training skills before they enter the profession.
  The college affirmed its commitment to continuing these practical initiatives that combine knowledge and experience and contribute to building a qualified generation of educators who are scientifically and practically competent.
  This field visit is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular: Goal 4: Quality Education, by supporting teacher preparation programs and developing their skills through practical training. Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through cooperation between academic institutions and local public schools.
