
The Iraqi Science Day Award
The University of Diyala invites its members to apply for the Iraqi Science Day Awards and announces special support for participants and winners
As part of its commitment to promoting a culture of scientific excellence and supporting researchers and innovators among its teaching staff and students, the Presidency of Diyala University invites all affiliated academics, researchers, and graduate students to apply for the Iraqi Science Day Awards, which are launched annually by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and aim to honor outstanding scientific achievements in various disciplines.
The President of the University, Prof. Dr. Tahseen Hussein Mubarak, emphasized that the university places this award at the forefront of its priorities within its academic incentive programs, noting that anyone who applies for the award with an actual achievement will receive a letter of thanks and official appreciation from the university presidency in recognition of their efforts and endeavors to enhance the university’s scientific reputation.
He added that the university will spare no effort in supporting outstanding researchers, explaining that the winners of the award at the national level will be honored with a generous financial reward in addition to a second letter of thanks and appreciation from the university presidency, as an incentive for further contribution and creativity in the fields of research and scientific publication.
The university president also directed the deans of the colleges and heads of the scientific departments to encourage teaching staff and outstanding students to apply and to publicize the award categories, conditions, and participation mechanisms, stressing the importance of active participation in this major scientific event, which reflects the level of development and advancement in Iraqi higher education and scientific research.
It is worth noting that Diyala University won eight awards at last year’s Iraqi Science Day, including: Best Published Scientific Research, Best Patent, Best Authored Book, Best Graduation Project, and other categories.
