
The President theUniversity inaugurates the creativity spacث and praises the college’s leadership in the art and book exhibition
As part of the orientation week activities, the President of Diyala University, Prof. Tahseen Hussein Mubarak, inaugurated an art exhibition and book fair in the corridors of the Faculty of Basic Education, organised by the Student Activities Division in collaboration with the Science Department and the Faculty of Fine Arts. The exhibition featured a collection of paintings that embodied the spirit of creativity presented by the college students, along with a wide selection of cultural, knowledge and methodological books that reflected the college’s interest in promoting academic and cultural awareness among its students.
During his tour of the exhibition, the university president praised the level of organisation and the artistic productions that expressed the energies of conscious young people capable of presenting creative visions that enhance national identity and support the university environment with knowledge and beauty. He also affirmed that the university continues to support initiatives that stimulate creativity and open new horizons for students to develop their artistic and cognitive skills.
In a related context, The Dean of the Faculty of Basic Education, Assistant Professor Dr. Ayman Abdul Aoun, expressed his gratitude to the University President for his attendance and continued support for the faculty in various academic and cultural fields, emphasising that these activities are part of the faculty’s strategy to enhance students’ personalities and enable them to engage in activities that enrich their culture and broaden their horizons.
The exhibition received widespread interaction from students and professors due to its educational and cultural message and the space it provided for students to display their artistic achievements, in addition to providing various sources of knowledge through the book exhibition.
This activity is in line with Goal 4: Quality Education, through supporting cultural and knowledge education and promoting student creativity. It is also consistent with Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, by encouraging arts and culture in the university environment, and reinforces Goal 17: Partnerships for the goals through cooperation between the college, scientific departments, and the College of Fine Arts to organise this event.
