The gates of childhood open
Diyala conducts qualitative tests to select the makers of generations in the kindergarten department amid intensive preparations and precise scientific controls
As part of its preparations for the new academic year, the Faculty of Basic Education at the University of Diyala conducted direct admission tests this morning for female students applying to join the kindergarten department, under the direct supervision of the faculty dean and department chair, with the participation of a specialized committee of teachers with academic and professional experience in the field of early childhood.
The assessment process included a thorough personal interview aimed at measuring the applicant’s ability to deal with children, their level of emotional maturity and communication skills, as well as testing the personal characteristics and general behaviors required to work in an educational environment.
The assessment also included written and oral tests to measure basic skills in Arabic and English, as well as comprehension of basic educational and psychological concepts, in addition to a simulation test to assess the ability to manage a simplified educational situation in a virtual classroom.
The department’s testing committee emphasized that “the aim of these procedures is not only to ensure the scientific competence of applicants, but also to guarantee the selection of individuals who possess professional aptitude and a genuine desire to serve children, given the importance of this role in building the foundations of human character.”
Those in charge of the tests added that the department is committed to applying modern standards in selecting its students, in line with the philosophy of quality education based on quality and competence.
This step comes within the framework of the college’s efforts to improve its educational outcomes and ensure the preparation of kindergarten teachers who possess the skills and knowledge necessary to support children’s development.
