The Faculty of Basic Education organizes a specialized scientific seminar entitled (How to calculate Hirsch’s h-index)…
The Faculty of Basic Education, Department of Mathematics, in cooperation with the Division of Continuing Education, organized a specialized scientific seminar entitled (How to calculate Hirsch’s h-index) with the participation of a number of teachers and students.
The seminar, which was lectured by Mr. Yasmin Masoud Abdulhassan, aimed to introduce the faculty members to what the Hirsch coefficient is and how to calculate the Hirsch coefficient, and also included practical examples of the method of calculating the coefficient.
The workshop included the discussion of several axes, the first axis aimed at defining the Hirsch coefficient and the second axis included how to calculate the Hirsch coefficient.
The seminar recommended some recommendations that contribute to improving the value of this indicator for the Iraqi researcher, which in turn contributes to raising the ranking of Iraqi universities.
