Dr. Jaafar Publishes a Scientific Article

A teacher in Diyala Basic Education publishes a scientific article in an Iraqi paper newspaper … and the dean of the college praises the initiative
In a distinguished step aimed at enhancing communication between the academic community and society, the teacher, Prof. Dr. Jafar Hassan Jassim from the Department of Computers at the College of Basic Education – University of Diyala, published a scientific article entitled (Energy and Sustainable Development … Challenges of reality and light of hope) in the Al-Zawraa paper newspaper, in its issue (8451) published on Sunday, June 22, 2025 on page nine under the section Issues and Opinions.
The article dealt with the topic of how to invest and develop clean energy in our Arab countries, highlighting the reality and challenges facing these projects in the Arab countries. This article comes within the framework of the teaching efforts to transfer scientific knowledge to the general public and enhance community awareness of contemporary scientific issues.
Assistant Professor Dr. Ayman Abdel Aoun, Dean of the College, praised this initiative and considered it an exemplary model of openness to society and the print media, stressing that “the contribution of the college professors in spreading scientific culture through the media contributes to establishing the true role of the university as a developmental and knowledgeable tributary serving society.”
He added that the college supports all scientific and creative initiatives that enhance its academic and community presence, calling for encouraging more faculty members to engage in this type of intellectual and media activities.
Dr. Jafar stressed that publishing the article in a widely circulated newspaper is an important step in enhancing communication between academic institutions and society, adding that it is the responsibility of academics to communicate science and knowledge in a simple and realistic language that contributes to the development of public awareness.
