Diyala University achieves a new achievement in the global Webomatrix ranking and achieves second place at the level of Iraqi universities
Diyala University has achieved a new academic achievement added to its record of excellence, by obtaining the second place at the level of Iraqi universities in the global Webomatrix ranking, in the July 2025 edition, which is concerned with evaluating universities according to the quality of their electronic presence and its reflection on academic and research performance.
The university president, Prof. Dr. Tahsin Hussein Mubarak, said: This progress represents the fruit of the university’s tireless efforts to develop the digital environment and enhance research rigor, pointing out that the university presidency pays great attention to raising the efficiency of scientific publishing, supporting researchers, and achieving the requirements of international rankings.
He added : This ranking is based on three basic indicators: Presence (Presence), Impact (Impact), and Openness (Openness), stressing that Diyala University’s excellence in these criteria reflects the continuous development of the university’s digital content and its effective contribution to the dissemination of knowledge at the global level.
He explained : This achievement is a clear evidence of the university’s rapid development in the electronic infrastructure and its keenness to keep pace with international standards, which enhances its academic standing and contributes to raising Iraq’s global ranking in the field of higher education.
He praised the efforts exerted by all the university’s formations, including teachers, researchers and employees, to achieve this scientific and digital excellence, stressing that they will continue to support the process of modernization and academic development to reach higher positions in the global rankings in the near future.
This progress is the culmination of the university’s efforts to enhance its academic and digital presence.
