In the presence of its president, Diyala University announces the launch of electronic ID cards for college students
As part of the digital transformation and smart governance initiative, and under the guidance of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, and in the presence of the President of Diyala University, Prof. Dr. Tahsin Hussein Mubarak, the university announced today, Tuesday, September 16, 2025, the launch of the distribution of electronic ID cards to university students.
During the distribution ceremony, which was attended by his scientific assistant, Prof. Dr. Amer Mohammed Ibrahim, and the Director of Student Affairs, Dr. Iyad Naseef, the President of the University confirmed that that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has taken a strategic decision to move towards comprehensive digitization of the university environment by adopting 120 electronic systems covering student services, resource management, education, and information, leading to the smart digital university ID. He pointed out that the launch of the electronic identity represents a milestone in the digital transformation and smart governance of our educational institutions, praising the efforts of college students in speeding up the registration process and calling on students to urge their classmates to register in order to obtain banking services and save time and effort.
For their part, the students expressed their thanks and appreciation to the university president and their happiness at meeting him, praising his great interest in students and the continuous support he provides them in order to enhance the educational environment and ensure the success of the digital transformation process.
