
Mr. Minister opens the second edition of the Iraq Education 2025 Conference
With the participation of experts from Times, Clarivate, Elsevier, QS, and the Egyptian Knowledge Bank, the Minister of Education opens the second edition of the Iraq Education 2025 Conference and affirms that Iraqi universities are entering a new phase of achievement and leadership.
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, opened the second edition of the Iraq Education 2025 Conference with the participation of international experts and representatives from Times Higher Education, Clarivate, Elsevier, QS, and the Egyptian Knowledge Bank.
In his speech, the Minister of Education emphasized that what has been achieved in three years in the field of higher education and scientific research was not merely procedural steps, but rather represented a profound transformation in the philosophy of university education, bringing Iraqi universities into the international arena and placing them at the heart of the global academic map.
He noted that Iraqi academic institutions have entered a new phase of achievement and leadership, integrating the rich scientific heritage of Iraqi universities with a vision for the future and its requirements.
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, added that Iraq is moving forward in making its higher education a platform for innovation and internationalization, attracting students from different countries, bringing together researchers from various disciplines, and interacting with knowledge in an integrated global space. He emphasized the continuation of expanding positive and productive partnerships with international friends, so that Iraqi universities can be an active and influential part of the global academic system, after securing advanced positions in international rankings and proving their presence in serious global research institutions.
The launch of the Iraq Education 2025 Conference was attended by Mr. Nick Davies, representative of The Times Higher Education, Mr. Sharif Ali Al-Shami, Vice President of Clarivate, Dr. Diaa Madhat, representative of Elsevier, Dr. Ola Lawrence, advisor to the Egyptian Knowledge Bank, Dr. Talal Youssef, representative of QS World University Rankings, as well as the senior staff, the president of the Iraqi Academics Union, the heads of public and private universities, college deans, and representatives of diplomatic missions.
