
During the opening of the first marketing exhibition for the Faculty of Pure Sciences, the university president emphasized its importance in achieving sustainable development goals.
On Wednesday, September 24, 2025, the President of Diyala University, Prof. Dr. Tahseen Hussein Mubarak, opened the first marketing exhibition organized by the Sustainable Development Committee at the Faculty of Pure Sciences under the slogan “From Farm to Table: Food and Sustainability.”
During the opening of the exhibition, which was attended by a number of college deans, the university president emphasized the need to hold such exhibitions, which are in line with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals aimed at stimulating local economic growth by supporting farmers and small and medium-sized local factories, as well as opening new channels for local marketing, establishing sustainable agricultural practices, and conserving natural resources in order to achieve a number of sustainable development goals. He explained that these exhibitions represent a means of marketing and displaying products that enable private sector institutions to benefit from them, emphasizing the importance of these marketing exhibitions in achieving the seventeen sustainable development goals.
For his part, the Dean of the Faculty of Pure Sciences, Prof. Ali Jaafar Salim, said: that this exhibition is an annual tradition that we have become accustomed to holding to showcase local agricultural and industrial products, and is part of the climate that the college provides to create competition to offer the best in marketing aspects, expressing his thanks to the President of the University for his unlimited support for the college’s progress and activities.
