
A Ministry Committee Visits the College
When quality meets reality… Ministerial committee attests to Diyala’s scientific and academic excellence and praises its performance and quality standards
On Monday morning, September 22, 2025, the Faculty of Basic Education at the University of Diyala welcomed a specialized ministerial committee tasked with evaluating scientific and academic reality, as part of field visits conducted by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to assess the quality of academic performance in Iraqi universities and colleges.
The committee was received by Assistant Professor Dr. Ayman Abdul Aoun, Dean of the College, and his assistants and heads of scientific departments, who accompanied them on a tour that included classrooms, laboratories, the library, and administrative and service facilities, as well as reviewing scientific and administrative files, study plans, and academic reports.
During their visit, the ministerial committee praised the level of organization and efforts made by the college dean’s office in developing its educational environment and meeting academic accreditation requirements, confirming that the college has shown a clear commitment to applying quality standards and providing modern scientific equipment, in addition to its interest in scientific research and student activities.
For his part, Prof. Ayman Abdul Aoun, Dean of the College, welcomed the committee members, emphasizing that the college views this visit as an important opportunity for evaluation and assessment, and affirming its commitment to achieving academic excellence within a comprehensive scientific vision. He added:
“We at the college are constantly working to improve the educational environment and enhance academic performance, within a clear scientific vision that puts students and scientific research at the forefront of our priorities, in an effort to raise the university to the level of reputable educational institutions.”
The Dean also praised the efforts of the ministerial committee, emphasizing the importance of continuous communication.
