A teacher from basic Diyala participated in the international conference of the Department of History at UCL University at the conclusion of the work of the Two Rivers Network. through the research entitled (( The impact of armed conflict on the cultural and heritage reality in Diyala Governorate)) which highlighted the importance of Diyala Governorate as it contains many heritage and archaeological sites, and these sites have suffered damage due to terrorist operations. The researcher emphasized the need to pay attention to them and keep them away from armed conflicts. The research received international acclaim, and the researcher was honored by the head of the Department of History at University College London and the head of the Two Rivers Network, Professor Eleanor Robinson, at the end of the conference.
