Scientific Lecture on Metaverse for Postgraduate Students at the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences
The Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the College of Basic Education organized a scientific lecture for postgraduate students, presented by Prof. Rashwan Muhammad Al-Hashimi, on the topic of “Metaverse” and its scientific and research dimensions.
The lecture reviewed the concept of metaverse as an integrated virtual reality, its growing role in the fields of education and sports, and how modern digital technologies can be used to support scientific research and develop physical skills through interactive virtual environments.
Metaverse is commonly used to describe the concept of hypothetical future versions of the Internet, consisting of decentralized and permanently connected three-dimensional simulations. These virtual worlds can be accessed through virtual reality or augmented reality glasses, mobile phones, desktops, and gaming platforms.
The lecture witnessed a wide interaction from students through their interventions and questions that reflected their desire to keep abreast of modern technological developments and benefit from them in their academic field of specialization
