Towards the Solar Energy
The College of Basic Education launches the first phase of solar energy systems in support of clean energy
Under the patronage of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman Nasser Rashid, and the follow-up of the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Wissam Jalil Sabaa, the College of Basic Education at Diyala University launched the first phase of solar energy systems, in a step towards promoting the use of clean and sustainable energy.
This project comes as part of the college’s orientation towards adopting renewable energy sources and reducing dependence on traditional energy, which contributes to preserving the environment and rationalizing electricity consumption. This energy will be used to operate the laboratories in the college, enhancing its operational efficiency and providing a more sustainable work environment for students and faculty.
The project aims to achieve environmental sustainability, reduce carbon emissions, and provide an alternative energy source that supports the college’s infrastructure in a sustainable manner, reflecting its keenness to adapt to modern developments in this field.
This initiative is expected to contribute to spreading the culture of renewable energy among students and faculty, and enhancing awareness of the importance of utilizing clean technology, which is an important step towards a more sustainable university environment.
The college seeks to expand the scope of the project in the future to include all its facilities, reinforcing its position as a leading educational institution in supporting environmental initiatives and utilizing modern technologies to achieve sustainable development.
