Basic Diyala promotes the spirit of adventure and scouting skills and shapes creativity in the Diyala Boulevard space
The Faculty of Basic Education at the University of Diyala – Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, in collaboration with the Student Activities and Media and Government Communication Divisions, organised its annual scout camp at Diyala Boulevard Gardens for two days, from 23 to 24 December 2025, Under the slogan ‘Scouting Skills: Renewal and Creativity,’ a select group of faculty members from the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences participated in the camp’s follow-up and implementation committee. The aim of the scout camp was to develop leadership and scouting skills among students, promote the values of discipline and teamwork, instil a spirit of self-reliance and initiative, and refine physical and educational aspects in line with the college’s mission to prepare students who are scientifically and behaviourally well-rounded.
The scout camp included a range of diverse events and activities, including practical applications of scouting skills, organisational and educational activities, as well as sports and entertainment programmes and outdoor scouting techniques, which contributed to developing a spirit of cooperation and stimulating creativity among the participants.
