Ibrahim Mohammed Kamel, a fourth-year student in the Department of Psychological Counselling and Educational Guidance at the College of Basic Education, won second place in the 83 kg weight category at the Iraqi Universities Physical Strength Championship, in which Diyala University won first place for its physical strength team, with more than 60 universities participating across Iraq, confirming its outstanding athletic presence in university competitions.
This achievement reflects the level of preparation and training that university students receive, as well as the continuous support for sporting activities, which represent one of the paths to university excellence. The Dean of the Faculty of Basic Education, Assistant Professor Dr. Ayman Abdul Aoun, praised this victory, emphasising that the faculty is proud of the qualitative achievements of its students at the local and international levels, and calling for continued support and nurturing of young talent to achieve further successes.
