Mr. President of the University Attends the Scientific Conference
During his attendance at the International Scientific Forum on IVF Technology, the University President calls for strengthening the spirit of knowledge integration between medicine and technology
As part of his ongoing monitoring of scientific activities, the President of the University of Diyala, Prof. Dr. Tahseen Hussein Mubarak, attended the International Scientific Forum on IVF Technology on Wednesday, October 8, 2025. The forum was organized by the Faculty of Medicine in collaboration with the Central Technical University and the Faculty of Islamic Sciences, under the slogan “The Future of IVF Technology in Light of the Challenges of Artificial Intelligence and the Position of Islamic Law on this Issue.”
During the forum, the university president said, “I am pleased to welcome you to the University of Diyala, and I am honored to participate in the opening of the proceedings of the International Scientific Forum on IVF Technology,” pointing out that the intersection of science and its keeping pace with scientific development is based in essence on the teachings of Islam and derives its fundamental pillars from the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet. Therefore, scientists must feel responsible towards our tolerant Sharia law and strive to highlight the harmonious relationship between contemporary Islamic thought and the technological developments witnessed by the world, especially in the field of artificial intelligence, which has become an essential partner in the diagnosis of diseases. I appreciate the great efforts of those in charge of this forum and wish them success in coming up with recommendations that embody the spirit of knowledge integration between medicine, technology, and human and Islamic values, and reflect our university’s keenness to ensure that science is directed towards serving humanity and its contemporary issues.
On the sidelines of the forum, His Excellency inaugurated the handicrafts and crafts bazaar, praising the efforts made in organizing it and emphasizing that holding such activities within the university reflects their importance and affirms the principle of serving the community and students and encouraging extracurricular activities.
The forum featured a number of speeches by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Ismail Ibrahim Latif, the Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences, Prof. Fadel Hussein Ahmed, and the Dean of the Technical College in Baquba, Dr. Basman Munther Jawamir.
