
Mr. President of the University Visits Russia
The President of Diyala University attends a joint meeting at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations to discuss prospects for scientific cooperation
As part of the agenda of the delegation of Iraqi university presidents participating in the First World Summit of the Peoples of the World held in the Russian capital Moscow, the President of Diyala University, Prof. Tahseen Hussein Mubarak, attended a joint meeting at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, in the presence of the Secretary General of the Arab Universities Union, Prof. Amr Ezzat Salama, His Excellency the Ambassador of the League of Arab States in Moscow, Dr. Walid Hamid Shaltagh, and the Cultural Attaché at the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in the Russian Federation, Prof. Dr. Nazir Jassim Mohammed.
The President of the University explained that the meeting discussed prospects for scientific and academic cooperation between Iraqi universities and the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, which is one of the most prestigious international educational institutions in the fields of law, international relations, and diplomacy. He emphasized that such meetings open wide doors for Iraqi students and researchers to benefit from solid international expertise.
Professor Tahseen Hussein Mubarak explained that through this visit, the university seeks to enhance its academic openness to reputable international institutions, thereby contributing to the development of the capabilities of its students and professors, especially in strategically important disciplines such as law and international relations. He explained that Diyala University is taking serious steps toward building bridges of international cooperation that will positively reflect on its scientific reputation and position in global rankings.
He also pointed out that the Moscow State Institute of International Relations is a prestigious educational institution, and therefore cooperation with it represents a qualitative addition to Iraqi universities in their quest to improve the quality of education.
