National Day celebration

During his attendance at the Iraqi National Day celebrations, the university president emphasizes the importance of instilling values of citizenship and institutional belonging
In celebration of Iraqi National Day, which embodies the meanings of unity and pride in national identity, the Scientific Assistant Department at the Presidency of Diyala University organized a distinguished celebration of this cherished national occasion on Tuesday morning (October 7, 2025), attended by the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Amer Muhammad Ibrahim, and a number of department heads, faculty members, and affiliates.
In a speech delivered during the celebration, the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Tahsin Hussein Mubarak, emphasized the importance of celebrating National Day in promoting a spirit of belonging and loyalty to the homeland and instilling the values of responsible citizenship in the hearts of students and university staff. He pointed out that the university has been and continues to be an effective environment for building Iraqi citizens capable of serving their country with their knowledge and creativity.
The University President praised the efforts of the Academic Assistant Department in organizing the celebration and its national segments and songs that embodied the love and unity of Iraq, appreciating the spirit of cooperation that reflected the bright image of the University of Diyala and its academic and community status. He emphasized that the university’s mission is not limited to education and scientific research, but extends to promoting national values and institutional belonging and instilling a culture of good citizenship in its students, as the cornerstone of Iraq’s renaissance and progress.
