Diyala University Council promotes scientific and research integrity and affirms its path towards globalisation
The Diyala University Council held its meeting for the academic year 2025–2026 on the morning of Monday, 15 December 2025, at the Academic Forum, chaired by Prof. Dr. Tahsin Hussein Mubarak, President of the University, and attended by all members of the Council.
At the beginning of the session, the University President affirmed that Diyala University is moving steadily towards establishing scientific and research integrity as the cornerstone for raising academic standards and achieving comprehensive quality standards, in line with the University’s vision of reaching the ranks of international universities and strengthening its presence in international rankings. He pointed out that real investment in scientific research and the development of academic skills are fundamental to building a university that is competitive locally, regionally and internationally.
During his speech at the discussion of the Scientific Research Skills Development Programme report issued by the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority, His Excellency explained that the current stage requires intensifying high-quality scientific workshops aimed at postgraduate students, thereby contributing to the development of their research capabilities and enhancing their skills in preparing sound research, and mastering the requirements of research methodology in accordance with approved academic standards, as well as supporting the scientific research environment, encouraging publication in reputable scientific journals, and linking scientific research outputs to the needs of society and development requirements.
