Diyala University leads the way in excellence and writes a new chapter in the history of academic achievement among Iraqi universities
The Faculty of Basic Education at the University of Diyala has achieved a new academic achievement to add to its long record of excellence, after receiving an “excellent” rating in the scientific and academic performance evaluation at the level of Iraqi colleges for the academic year 2025-2024, according to the results of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research – Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority – Measurement and Evaluation Division.
This distinction is the culmination of continuous scientific and institutional efforts, with the college’s dean praising the pioneering role played by the former dean, Prof. Abdulrahman Nasser Rashid, who laid the foundations for this success through sound development plans and an academic environment that encourages creativity and scientific research.
The current dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Ayman Abdul Aoun, emphasized that this achievement is a natural extension of the journey of excellence established by his predecessors and the result of teamwork that integrated the visions of the faculty, the efforts of the dean’s assistants and department heads, and the dedication of the staff. He pointed out that this evaluation represents a new motivation to move forward in consolidating the college’s position as a leading educational institution at the national level.
On this occasion, the Dean praised the efforts of all staff, including faculty, administrators, and technicians, commending their dedication and commitment to quality standards and institutional performance. and their keenness to apply the latest academic standards in education and evaluation, stressing that this achievement “is not the end of the road, but a new beginning for more work, giving, and teamwork.”
For its part, the Committee of Deans of Basic Education Colleges in Iraq expressed its high appreciation for the level achieved by the College of Education.
