
Minister of Education honors international graduation projects and winners of the Excellence Award at the Arab Architecture Festival
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, honored international graduation projects at the Arab Architecture Festival and the winners of the Excellence Award on the occasion of Baghdad being chosen as the Arab Tourism Capital for 2025.
In his speech, in which he represented the Prime Minister and in the presence of advisors, union representatives, international and Iraqi experts, and representatives of a number of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi emphasized that the festival represents a real opportunity to support creative and distinguished architects in the Arab world, and an incentive for them to come up with modern solutions that help modernize and rebuild cities while preserving their historical and cultural fabric.
The Minister of Education reiterated the importance of strengthening Arab and international cooperation in the implementation of joint projects, while pointing out Iraq’s commitment to deepening productive partnerships with a scientific and cultural dimension, thereby contributing to laying the foundations for sustainable development in accordance with an integrated and comprehensive vision that enhances Iraq’s position in its Arab, regional, and global environment.
The closing ceremony of the festival, hosted by Al-Mustansiriya School, featured speeches and presentations by a select group of architects and judges, while the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, concluded the events by presenting prestigious awards celebrating excellence and creativity.
