
The University Council holds its first session
The Diyala University Council holds its first open session (second meeting) for the 2025–2026 academic year and emphasizes the activation of the distinguished energies of scholarship students and the promotion of environmental programs at the university
The Diyala University Council held its first open session (second meeting) for the academic year 2025–2026 on Monday morning, October 6, 2025, at the Academic Forum, chaired by Prof. Dr. Tahsin Hussein Mubarak, President of the University, and attended by all members of the Council.
At the beginning of the session, the University President gave his directives on the need to continue celebrating Iraqi National Day during the current week, praising the national events held at the university that embodied the spirit of belonging and love for the homeland.
He stressed the importance of raising Iraqi flags in all colleges and departments, organizing educational lectures and seminars that promote the values of citizenship and institutional belonging, as well as launching cleanliness and tree planting campaigns in the university’s corridors and colleges to enhance environmental beauty and increase green spaces.
In another context, Prof. Dr. Tahseen Hussein Mubarak stressed the need to benefit from distinguished human resources, especially those sent to prestigious international universities, calling for their involvement in academic and administrative positions to ensure the transfer of modern expertise and the development of institutional performance in light of international standards. He pointed out that scholarship students represent an important intellectual and scientific asset, emphasizing that the university attaches great importance to providing them with the opportunity to contribute to achieving its strategic goals in the fields of education, scientific research, and community service.
The university president also stressed the need to adhere to the modest dress code approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, emphasizing that university attire must reflect respect for the sanctity of
