The nation’s memory on the scientific research platform

Diyala reviews the book Reforming Logic and emphasises the importance of reviving Arabic manuscripts
Within the framework of scientific openness and strengthening academic cooperation with state departments and long-established cultural institutions at the local level, Dr. Rabia Hussein Mahdi, a lecturer in the Arabic Language Department at the Faculty of Basic Education at the University of Diyala, participated in the events of the Second International Scientific Conference of the Iraqi Scientific Academy (Al-Khalidin Academy) in Baghdad.
The conference was held under the slogan: ‘Manuscripts: The Memory of the Nation and the Gateway to the Future,’ and under the main title: ‘Arabic Manuscripts between Heritage and Modernity,’ from 11 to 12 December 2025, with broad participation from Iraqi and Arab researchers.
The teaching staff participated by presenting their research entitled ‘Verification of the Book of Logic Reform, 244 AH: A Critical Analytical Study.’ In her research, Dr. Rabia addressed the importance of this rare linguistic manuscript, which is considered a fundamental reference in linguistics and grammar, and presented a critical analytical study of its content. She revealed the precise scientific method followed by the author in addressing common linguistic errors of his time, emphasising the importance of reviving this heritage to serve the contemporary Arabic language.
